Job Sharing and Employment Creation
The EB-5 Visa program offers individuals the opportunity to move to the United States if they can provide an investment in an American business that leads to the creation of at least 10 full-time positions within two years. This program does allow for some flexibility in this job creation, allowing employees to job-share.

Requirements for Job Sharing Employees
The government does permit employees to share their job through a proper job sharing arrangement. This does not mean that an employer can combine the hours of two part-time employees and report them as a single full-timer. Instead, the following requirements are put in place for employees sharing a single job:
- Meets the 35-hour weekly standard of full-time employment
- Is given workers’ compensation benefits
- Is given unemployment or severance benefits
- Is considered a full-time, permanent, and constant employee
Under these requirements, two or more employees may share their job. However, they will only be counted a single full-time employee.
